Obsolescence management in the U.S. Army refers to the process of addressing and mitigating the challenges posed by outdated or obsolete equipment, technology, and systems.
Export Logistics is continually enhancing our robust supply chain in support of former US-fleet wheeled and tracked vehicles in the FMS system.
Our partner nations operate fleets gifted by the US government, formerly Excess Defense Articles “EDA”. The spare parts supply chain for these EDA and legacy systems shrinks with the lack of USG demand so Export Logistics USA has invested in vendor relationships around the world that can supply these needed parts.

Non-Standard Wheeled and Tracked
Given FMS support of countries around the world, the US Army is often tasked to source ground vehicles and weapon systems that were never used by the US government so by definition are non-standard. Federal Acquisition Regulations make it difficult for implementing agencies to establish a relationship and get pricing. Export Logistics USA is experienced providing diligence on foreign manufacturers, conducting on-site inspections and establishing a business relationship in order to fulfill non-standard LoR’s.
